American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) class allows you to teach various courses such as:
- Learn to Swim levels 1 through 6
- Parent and Child Aquatics
- Preschool Aquatics
- Longfellow's WHALE Tales
- Water Safety Presentations
- Basic Water Safety
- Personal Water Safety
Candidates will be asked to complete at least four practice teaching assignments, using Instructor materials.
Come to class prepared each day and actively participate in all sessions.
Pass a written exam on the last day of class with 80% or higher.

LUNCHES AND BREAKS FOR ALL CLASSES:
- Lunch Breaks: PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT ALL STUDENTS MUST BRING LUNCH EACH DAY. STUDENTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO LEAVE THE CLASS TO PURCHASE LUNCH.
- Breaks: There will be small 5 to 10 minute breaks throughout the classes.
WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS: Each student needs to bring proof of age, bathing suit, towels, change of clothes, pen and paper.
FEES: IF YOU HAVE INTERVIEWED AND AND BEEN HIRED TO WORK FOR GHPM DURING THE 2009 SEASON YOU MAY PAY THE REDUCED EMPLOYEE FEE. PAYING THE EMPLOYEE FEE DOES NOT GUARANTEE EMPLOYMENT WITH GHPM.
